In the main issue "MADE-LAND 2021", design and manufacturing are discussed. In the process of visiting industrial sites, designers and brands, Into tried to show how people use design as a medium to achieve symbiosis with local limited manufacturing conditions in a specific era and cultural context.

The annex "MADE-LAND 1920s-'90s" invites artist Zhu Lanqing to create a special creation, recreating the simple feelings of Chinese families and furniture in the past few decades; the annex "MADE-LAND 2050" is based on the observation of 11 respondents. The development of the past 30 years deduces the evolution of Chinese design in the next 30 years.

/The first issue of the design magazine, why do you talk about manufacturing? /

The original intention of into is to be able to be in the industry and "understand and record common sense and phenomena". In the past decade, the furniture design industry has entered a period of more possibilities. More and more designers and brands are emerging with fresh ideas. First of all, they should face who can help them make things? When manuscripts, ideas and models eventually become products, the role of the factory intervenes.

On the one hand, there is a brand-new design industry that is still in the exploration stage, and on the other hand, there is the Chinese manufacturing industry, which is known as the world's factory. Between the two is also separated by a rapidly changing market. What should designers do? How can brands solve their own production problems? Is there an ideal relationship between design and manufacturing? At the beginning of the topic selection, we have a lot of questions.

In this "MADE-LAND 2021", they disassembled they're doubts into 3 dimensions that may be answered: industrial location, designer, and brand. They conducted in-depth interviews and field visits, and took photographer Zou Xunkai to record the images. All the information is collected, crossed and verified, and slowly forms the clues they agree with in their hearts.
