A trilingual dream of a book that would have been impossible to realize in Europe. The accordion-folded book can be opened from two different sides, giving each of the three languages its own reading direction. The Chinese text is set in the traditional way with vertical lines from right to left; the Norwegian text as a continuous vertical column crossing the pages, and the English text in the traditional Western way of column-setting from left to right. From time to time, the text goes over the folding – which is both confusing and entertaining for the readers. The book is ingeniously closed with a magnet lock system; the material choices are congenial, and the clear footnotes give readers access to the numerous works the artist occupied with. Indeed, a magnificent design.

An emotional project that is well-considered, thoughtful, witty, weird and amusing. Two books in one bookcase that can be read with both hands simultaneously, where two stories and two languages are juxtaposed and follow the same structure, as parallel universes. This could have been boring but instead we are constantly surprised. The book is exquisitely executed with fantastic images and details in binding and material choices, exhibiting.
